WHERE DID IT ORIGINATE?
Thomas Ambrose Bowen of Geelong, Australia developed his own "technique" and had a thriving practise until he died in the 1980s. His approach is now known throughout the world.
WHAT DO WE DO AS THERAPIST
The Bowen Technique is a remedial therapy that is simply and remarkably effective. The technique consists of a series of moves across muscle, tendon and other soft tissue. As therapists we use fingers and thumbs on specific areas, applying gentle pressure to effect a movement of the tissue.
The technique can not be compared to any other form of therapy currently in existence.
